Abrasive Blasting

Sandblasting is a brilliantly straight forward way to clean metal. Compressed air pushes aluminum oxide granuals through a hose at about 70psi and blasts it out of a small opening at the end of an ultra hard boron or tungsten carbide nozzle and slams the bits of media into whatever it's being aimed at, pulverizing and peeling away paint or rust or whatever else it's running into.

While the principles of a sandblaster are relatively simple we've advanced our sandblasting capabilities to make it highly efficent as well as safe to operate. Our idea of sandblasting is a 30x30x15ft room, featuring an air conditioned filtered clean air pump pushing air to a NOVA 3000 sandblasting hood, 20hp dust collection unit, 20hp air compressor AND 15hp air compressor for continuous blasting and a gallon Empire sandhopper for about 45 minutes of continuous blasting, and a 10 gallon sandhopper above the main pressure tank along with a 60 gallon hopper in the room which the system pulls sand from to refill the system. Our sandblasting operation is truly a Corvette in the sandblasting world.

And the best part? You can use it yourself! We've gotten the sandblasting down to such a science we offer our room for rent at a peckish $35 dollars an hour. And if you do the math, with a system full of sand, theres about 3 hours of continuous sandblasting between refills. This is a great way to save yourself some cash and really take charge of your own project.
